Some Poly folks from the East Coast are thinking about joining us in this fabulus city. They want to know about intentional communities/shared poly housing. I also need to come up with cool, fun, interesting things to highlight the best parts of Portland. My knowledge base is limited as we live in the boonies, have young kids and just don't get out much right now.
Any and all information welcome. Many thanks

Re: What to do in PDX
Thu, March 6, 2008 - 7:34 AMI have no idea if it's poly, but it's intentional -- your friends might want to visit Tryon Life Farm (tryonfarm.org/). Also, there's a directory of intentional communities throughout Oregon at the Northwest Intentional Communities Assn. site, www.ic.org/nica/
They must visit Powell's, of course.
You could take 'em around to Alberta Street, Mississippi neighborhood, Belmont/Hawthorne and the sunflower corner in Sunnyside. Up to Washington Park for the view. Etc. -
