Announcing an ongoing event hosted by the Portland/Gresham Polyamory Meetup Group!
What: Saturday Coffee Chat
When: Saturday, December 15, 10:00 AM - NOON
Where: Acme Coffee & Gift
1400 Washington Street
Oregon City , OR 97045
503.657.4400
Event Description:
New members and old, local poly groups in the metro area, those who only have Saturdays free or want more opportunities to meet and greet, this is our fifth weekend meeting. We got a great turn out on the 17th, a cosy gathering on the 1st, so we've scheduled another. If you keep showing up, we'll keep hosting.
An open invitation is being posted here for all you who love to gather and gab. If you're poly, poly-curious, poly-friendly or just plain friendly, hop a bus, grab a ride, join us at the biweekly Coffee Chat.
You'll have a chance to get to know like minded people as well as discuss your burning questions, share your recent victories, and offer ideas for more social opportunities.
Acme has abundant seating, yummy treats and good coffee. You can even buy silly gifts for loved ones. Come and join us for a spell or stay the whole two hours.
Located on the corner of 14th and Washington, with both parking lot and street parking. Walking distance from the Oregon City Transit Center.
**Sorry this site is not certified as child friendly. Lots of distracting toys, both naughty and nice on display, would require you to keep a tight rein on your young ones. Spacious location for adult conversations however.
You can just show up (look for the woman resembling the photo - 'grey is the new blond' ) or you can opt to RSVP by joining Portland/Gresham Polyamory Meetup here polyamory.meetup.com/334. More events posted there, intermittent discussions as well. If you have questions, email me for more info.

Re: Saturday Coffee Chat (No Monday Chill Out on the 17th)
Tue, December 4, 2007 - 9:08 AMpsst...there is a poly circle discussion on the 17th though. Probably with enough of a geographic divide not to compete.
there is no poly chillout or circle on the 24th. -

Re: Saturday Coffee Chat (No Monday Chill Out on the 17th)
Tue, December 4, 2007 - 8:50 PMI'm planning to attend the Poly Circle Discussion Group on the 17th but some folks don't care to yet asked if someone would organize an optional opportunity to do socializing near the usual Monday Chill Out date. If that is not you, then the notice is easily ignored. If you are one of those craving your weekly fix of poly folks BUT don't want the formal discussion, come join us, we're as informal as it goes. Should we get too serious and actually discuss a poly topic, you can always shop for your own silliness at Acme. They specialize in rubber duckies.
The geographic divide is somewhat amusing. People on both sides of the river sometimes act as if there's an ocean between them, yet TriMet reaches all points of the compass, including the dreaded 'burbs (Oregon City might be a precursor to a 'burb however, since it was probably here before the city of Portland). We selected the site based on ease of access by public transportation. In any event, there's no shortage of excuses for not showing up somewhere you're invited, you only need one good reason to decide to come. It's all good!
I'm so so disappointed. Did Santa cancel the Monday Chill Out on Christmas Eve? I'l have to drink the cocoa and eat the cookies myself. Again, there'll be a Saturday Coffee Chat on the 29th to make up for Kris Kringle's bad manners. Same place, same time. Don't say we never gave you enough chances to hang out together.
